Blood pressure monitor approved for clinical use
The Seagull 6179 blood pressure monitor can be used for both home and clinical use. This device is CE-marked for clinical use and is therefore approved for settings such as clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes, but it can also be used at home. The device is validated for everyone over 12 years of age and provides precise measurements based on reliable and recognized measurement methods. The device has a large, user-friendly display with easy-to-read, large text.
The included cuff fits upper arms from 22-36 cm and is easy to handle, ensuring it can be applied correctly with ease. A smaller cuff for
arms of 16-24 cm or a larger cuff for
arms of 32-48 cm can be purchased separately. With 3 cuff sizes, this blood pressure monitor can be used by almost everyone.
Having different cuff sizes for the blood pressure monitor is important to ensure accurate measurements and provide a good experience for the patient. By having cuffs in different sizes, you can be sure to take accurate measurements on both small and large arms. This minimizes the risk of erroneous readings that can occur if the cuff is too large or too small. This results in a more efficient workflow by obtaining a precise measurement the first time. An efficient workflow benefits both the patient and the healthcare professional, as it is advantageous for both parties to obtain an accurate diagnosis and treatment based on reliable blood pressure readings.
Additionally, an appropriate cuff size increases comfort for the user during the measurement, as unnecessary pressure and discomfort are avoided.
For this device, it is possible to purchase a power adapter if you do not want to worry about batteries. Find the power adapter

The device automatically checks if the cuff is applied/fitted correctly before a measurement. During this check, a cuff icon appears on the display. The device also checks for excessive movement during the measurement. If the unit detects movement, a person-moving icon is shown on the display.
Blood pressure monitor memory
The Seagull DBP-6179 blood pressure monitor features a function that keeps readings for 2 people separate. This makes it easy to track blood pressure even when sharing the device. You separate the readings by selecting the user before starting the measurement. It is possible to store up to 150 readings for each user. When the memory is full, the oldest reading is overwritten.
Genopladeligt batteri
Seagull SMART blodtryksapparat FDBP-A13 har et indbygget 3,7 V polymer lithium ion batteri. Det gør det nemt at sikre, at der altid er strøm på apparatet, da der følger et Type-C opladerkabel med apparatet.

If you wish to have your blood pressure monitor calibrated, this can be done by us, and we can ensure that it measures correctly.
Calibration costs 250 DKK, including VAT, and can be purchased

If you are experiencing error messages or inaccurate readings, there may be several reasons for this:
● Has the user been active, eating/drinking, or smoking? Blood pressure can fluctuate significantly throughout the day and is affected by food, drink, smoking, and activity. Therefore, it is recommended to measure your blood pressure at least 30 minutes after eating, smoking, or consuming caffeinated beverages. It is important to sit quietly for 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
● Is the cuff applied correctly? Not too loose, not too tight, 2-3 cm above the elbow crease.
● Was the user sitting correctly during the measurement? Without crossed legs, relaxed in a chair with back support, and the arm resting on a table with the cuff at heart level.
● Was the user sitting still during the measurement? You must not move or talk during the measurement. It is important to be as relaxed as possible.
● Is the cuff connected correctly to the device? Check that the cuff is connected properly.
If you find that the cuff is becoming porous or that the connection between the tube and the device is not airtight, this can cause error messages or inaccurate results. It is possible to purchase and replace spare parts, allowing you to enjoy your device for many years to come.
If your device has been dropped or subjected to impact, this can affect the measurements, and a calibration would be a good idea.
