The blood pressure monitor measures systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and heart rate using the oscillometric measurement method.
The blood pressure monitor starts when the wrist is in the correct position and then only inflates to the necessary level. The display shows blood pressure, pulse, date, and time. The memory can store up to 240 readings with date and time. Furthermore, the device has 2 user profiles, allowing it to be used by multiple people while keeping individual data separate. Wrist monitors are just as accurate as upper-arm monitors, provided the cuff is kept at heart level.
The compact device is easy to take with you on trips and travels. It can be packed into the included case, which also serves as an arm rest during measurement.
The device is recommended for people over 18 years of age with a wrist circumference between 13.5 cm and 19.5 cm. The device is intended for home use and not for medical clinics. Wrist monitors are recommended for people who have difficulty putting on an upper-arm cuff or who find blood pressure measurement on the upper arm very uncomfortable. It can also be used by people whose arms are too thin for upper-arm monitors.
According to the Danish Medicines Agency and the manufacturer, it is not necessary to calibrate the blood pressure monitor if it is used for home use. However, if it has been dropped or subjected to impact, this can lead to inaccurate readings, in which case calibration would be a good idea.
If you would like to have your blood pressure monitor calibrated, we can do this for you to ensure it is measuring correctly.
Calibration costs 250 DKK incl. VAT and can be purchased
